Lefora Free Forum

Hi, and welcome to Neurodiversity University, a place where folks can meet, learn, share, and support one another. This forum is designed for the following people:

  • Neurodiverse individuals -- those with autistic spectrum differences, attention deficit differences, learning differences, pervasive mood differences, or who identify as such.
  • Families with neurodiverse members -- spouses, parents, brothers, sisters, grandmothers, etc...are all welcome to join in.
  • Educators -- those professionals and paraprofessionals who work with neurodiverse students in elementary, secondary, and post-secondary environments.
  • Professionals and paraprofessionals -- those who work with neurodiverse individuals and their families to provide services and support.

THE RULES:

  • This is a place of safe sharing. No personal attacks will be tolerated. You are free to espouse your own opinions, but you are not allowed to attack those opinions of others in a way that is threatening, humiliating, or degrading to other members.
  • This is a place to share best practices. This means that we share what has worked, and we also share what has not worked. For parents, teachers and professionals, you may hear things here you don't like or don't agree with. Part of the purpose of this forum is to share -- honestly -- everyone's experiences and opinions so we can learn from each other. We all have a lot to learn about neurodiversity, and to the extent that we listen, we are better serving our communities.
  • This is a place to stay (relatively) on topic. While discussions are expected to be free form, please limit your discussions to those topics for which this forum was designed.
  • Finally -- a note about moderation. As the administrator and main moderator of this forum, I will revoke the membership of anyone who:
    • Bullies other members
    • Behaves in a condescending manner toward other members
    • Uses membership for the purpose of promoting goods or services for profit
    • Uses inappropriate or overly-provocative language
    • Consistently promotes 'quack science'
    • Engages in rants that do not serve the communal purpose of this forum

Thanks for listening, and enjoy!
