A great opportunity to "test the waters"...

Students ages sixteen to nineteen will have a unique opportunity to learn valuable skills that are necessary for making a well-prepared transition from high school to college or while pursuing vocational interests. Participants will have many chances to practice their new skills in a supported environment where they can feel successful and build their self-confidence at the same time.

Requirements:

* Ages 16-19
* Diagnosis of Asperger's, Nonverbal, High-Functioning Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia or other Learning Difference
* Low average to high intelligence
* Emotional, behavioral, and psychological stability

The Berkeley Center in Berkeley, CA is part of the College Internship Program, a national program specifically created for transitioning students 18-26 to independence. Areas such as academic, career, social and life skills are focused on. Students live in apartments within the community and may take college courses or have jobs/internships.
